The location of the hotel is at the edge of the walking-only old historic city, and the hotel has its own underground garage just across the street, which was great. It is right on the Camino de Santiago walking path, so convenient to stay if you are doing that. They served breakfast (including eggs) starting at 7:30 am, and they served dinner also starting at 7:30 pm, which was before most nearby restaurants. Very close to Pontevedra Cathedral, and other old sites. We ordered a superior room, which was adequate but not great for $200/night.

Great great shower pressure. Nice pillow. Stuff that matters! In a more modern part of the town. Bed was confortable too. Breakfast buffet was good too, althought I am mostly coffee/fruits, so I never make the most of it.

Perfect location for the Camino. Very near to lots of cafes, bars, and restaurants and shops. Loved the A/C and balcony room. Very spacious and well decorated room. Breakfast seemed a little chaotic, a lot of people in a small area but food choices were very good. Everything was fresh!

This was our rest day on the Camino. I am so glad because this town was great and this hotel is perfectly located to see everything. Breakfast was really good. The check-in staff were kind and they were well prepared for luggage forwarding as some of us do on the Camino. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and there was a/c to cool down the room. I would recommend this hotel.

We had room 907 at the top with seaview and deck and it was amazing. We can only speak for this room and it was very large, the sliding doors opened up the whole side of the room to the deck which looked over the city and sea. Modern and nice bathroom and large comfortable bed.

The hotel was in a great location for exploring the historic part of the city, yet was also nicely situated near the more modern area. It was a nice place to stay during our rest day while walking the Camino. The room was very comfortable overall.

I was staying at another place in Pontevedra (which shall remain nameless) on my Camino Portuguese, and when I got a bit of food poisoning I knew I needed to stay at least one more night in town, and also find a different hotel. Carla at Hotel Rias Bajas reception was an absolute hero, checking me in early, arranging for me to stay in the same room an extra night when I wasn't fully recovered, and just making me feel like someone was looking after me. For this hotel at this time, that was the most important thing and she exceeded expectations :)

There is a cafeteria in this hotel, which was very convenient. It's open pretty late in the evening, I think until 11:30 pm, which was a relief after a long drive from Valladolid. In the USA, "cafeteria" has maybe a mediocre connotation. The food in this hotel is very good (we enjoyed classic tapas) and there is a full bar. Breakfast was terrific, with something to suit everyone. A shout out to the young women who served us each time--she was ever cheerful, polite and prompt. Our room had very traditional furnishings (not modern), and had a great shower and plenty of air conditioning. Our room wasn't overly big which was fine. Pontevedra is such a beautiful city, you won't want to spend too much time in your room. This hotel is in a perfect location for enjoying the best parts of the city, which is a stunning blend of the very old and the very new.
