Very much like a hotel, this was the first accommodation that we booked that was more 'commercial' - in the centre of town, it was easy to find and the front-desk staff were friendly and helpful, and accommodating. Rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable, fellow pilgrims described their rooms as having an older style decor (perhaps tired?), but our rooms seemed clean and modernised. I don't like big pillows but my cousin does - so there was a balance of views! We were also fortunate that our aircon worked (whilst our fellow pilgrims said it was permanently cold in their room, which also faced the street and seemed noisy for them at night. This wasn't the case for us, again - balance. My perspective is therefore that perhaps this accommodation lacks consistency, but we were happy with our experience.

The location of the hotel is at the edge of the walking-only old historic city, and the hotel has its own underground garage just across the street, which was great. It is right on the Camino de Santiago walking path, so convenient to stay if you are doing that. They served breakfast (including eggs) starting at 7:30 am, and they served dinner also starting at 7:30 pm, which was before most nearby restaurants. Very close to Pontevedra Cathedral, and other old sites. We ordered a superior room, which was adequate but not great for $200/night.

David

Overall luxurious experience for us, because we usually stay in lower-priced hotels. We had a bedroom + a sitting room with sofa and table—also a wrap-around terrace with a view down the street of the casco viejo. An unexpected bonus was that there was an international cycling / triathalon event in town and many cyclists were staying at the hotel. Since we are cycling fans, we enjoyed seeing them and portions of events.

I was a little taken aback when we walked into our room - very large & spacious! We did have some communication difficulties as I was traveling with my son & they didn't have 2 beds for us, so we had to wait for them to set up the room. The bar was a nice place to grab a drink & sandwich but the dining room didn't open until 8pm - and I was exhausted from our long walk that day.

Stephanie

Everyone was great. Room staff made my bed on Easter! I told them they didnt have to but did it anyway. Ricardo santos in the dining room provided superior service. A very courtous man, and was always doing something to better the place. Fast track this guy to management!!
